Frequently Asked Questions

Each child must bring a backpack, and a water bottle to school. The child’s name must be visible on both items. If your child is enrolled in our full-day program, you must also pack the following: a lunchbox, a crib sheet, a blanket, and small travel-size pillow.

Before your child begins school, you will enter your banking information in the system by using our HiMama app. Tuition is paid via an automatic bank withdrawal every Friday before the week begins.

We have a friendly customer support team that would be happy to answer questions, which you can reach by phone (1-800-905-1876) or email (support@himama.com).

Thrive offers many opportunities for outdoor play, paint, markers, glue, glitter, etc. We ask that you send your child to school in comfortable play clothing. We operate with shoes off in the classrooms. Shoes that a child can take off and on easily are ideal, but also keep in mind we have rubber mulch on the playground. Closed toe shoes with velcro are the best option for school

Parents:

Download and install the HiMama app, then follow these directions:

  • Click on the "Invoices" tab
  • Click "Add Payment Method"
  • Select "Bank Transfer"
  • Input personal info, account and routing numbers
  • Submit!

Students at Thrive should be able to verbalize they need to go to the restroom. Typically we have someone to assist with pants, underwear, etc. but the children need to verbalize that they need help. Full-day children that may need pull-ups during rest time will have help to do that. We can keep pull-ups for rest time at school if you send them in bulk

Our rest time takes place from 1:00-3:00 PM. We ask if at all possible this time not be interrupted with children being picked up. All children are provided a cot that is a few inches off the ground. We encourage the children to make their own beds to promote independence. We ask that parents send a crib sheet, blanket, and travel size pillow for their child to rest. You may send these items in their backpack each week. We will hold on to the nap items until their last day of the week, then we will place it back in their backpack to be washed and returned. If your child does not fall asleep after 30-45 minutes of rest time, we have quiet activities for the awake children to do in the classroom.

Full-day children must have a lunch box labeled with their name visible on the outside. Lunches should consist of: protein, fruit, vegetable, grain, and dairy. We will provide water and/or milk during lunch.

This is another reason we love the HiMama app! Simply log in and mark your child as absent by clicking “check in”, and then selecting the reason your child is absent. If your child will be absent for several days, we always appreciate a message on HiMama so we may be aware.

You may send updated (within the past year) immunization records in your child’s folder or emailed to ashton.wyatt@thriveearlylearning.org

Volunteer Opportunities

Thrive Early Learning Academy recognizes that parents are the principle influence in their children’s lives. We welcome and expect parent involvement for the successful operation of this school. Because we recognize the many demands that are placed on families’ time, we offer varied levels of involvement opportunities. We hope that each family will be involved in the life of the school in some of the following ways:

  • Attend Parent Open House, Parent-Teacher Conferences and events
  • Drive for Thrive field trips
  • Help with event or activity preparation
  • Chair an event or project committee
  • Assist with fundraising

Note: Volunteer opportunities will be limited to what is safe and appropriate for our community at this time.
